Welthungerhilfe Germany

Welthungerhilfe, originally founded in the sixties as the National Committee of the Freedom from Hunger Campaign of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, is a secular, non-profit, nongovernmental organization in the field of international development Cooperation, dedicated to rural development, food security and eradication of root causes of poverty. It is active in India, along with 40 other countries, on research, promotion and skill/capacity building on agroecological farming, organic food value chain, and rural natural resource-based entrepreneurship. For the NextFOOD project, Welthungerhilfe will work with the University of Calcutta and the University of Kerala.
